We offer personalized, affirming counselling for adults seeking support with ADHD, anxiety, self-worth, trauma, and more. Our approach is compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming, and tailored to your unique needs. Sessions provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore challenges, develop self-understanding, and build skills to navigate life with confidence. Whether you’re looking to deepen self-compassion, address perfectionism, or process difficult experiences, we’re here to support you at your own pace.

Hello! I’m Kristie, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a counsellor, I’m passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families on their unique mental health and life journeys. I earned my undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care Counselling in 2012 and recently completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2024. I am currently registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

As a neurodivergent parent of a neurodivergent child, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my work. I have a particular passion for working with individuals and families navigating life with ADHD. I understand the challenges ADHD can bring—such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, and self-esteem—and I strive to provide practical strategies and affirming support. My goal is to help clients harness their strengths, build confidence, and develop tools to thrive in their personal and professional lives.

I offer relationship counselling, supporting couples or family members in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening connection. I also help individuals and families navigate the complexities of divorce or separation with empathy, focusing on fostering resilience and healthy co-parenting dynamics. Additionally, I work with adults facing significant life transitions, including career changes, relocation, loss, or other major shifts. Together, we explore ways to navigate these changes with confidence and create a path forward that feels meaningful and aligned with their goals. I also bring a deep passion for supporting parents through all stages of parenthood—whether during family planning, pregnancy, the postnatal period, or beyond.

Using a variety of therapeutic approaches—including somatics, mindfulness, EMDR, person-centred therapy, and elements of CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy—I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment. I believe in tailoring my approach to each client’s unique needs and helping them build confidence, resilience, and a sense of empowerment.

Every individual, family, and relationship is different, and I am here to provide personalized support that celebrates your strengths and addresses your unique challenges. Together, we can navigate the complexities of mental health, ADHD, relationships, and life transitions, fostering growth, healing, and connection.

I’m truly looking forward to working with you!

NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS Hi! I’m glad you’re here. A bit about me - I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria, and a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have experience working as a counsellor in community mental health, and have been running my private practice since August 2020. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

My counselling philosophy includes using a trauma-informed integrated approach that is tailored to each individual client. I combine evidence-based theories such as a bio-psycho-social approach, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. I support each of my clients in finding their own path and uncovering their own strengths and resources.

I work to help clients gain a better understanding of their experiences and inherent worth. Together, we address their identified goals, reflect on and process experiences that may have been traumatic, challenge negative self-beliefs, and foster self-compassion. I strive to recognize intersectional factors that may impact client’s, such as culture, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexuality, disability, age, etc. I am passionate about creating safer spaces for all communities, bodies, and backgrounds. My focus is working with adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, interpersonal dynamics, grief & loss, self-worth, body image, relationships, self-compassion, perfectionism, and trauma. I am passionate about journeying with and supporting clients as they explore the big questions in life - why do I behave the way I do? Why is this a pattern for me? I work with my clients to formulate a plan for the course of therapy. Through the integration of evidence-based interventions to foster awareness of one’s thoughts, behaviours, and emotions, I strive to cultivate a space for clients to learn and grow.
